Forecasting Analyst, Delivery Operations
About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Forecasting Analyst to join our Logistics Planning team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing our operational efficiency by providing accurate forecasts for delivery volumes, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Your insights will directly impact operational costs, customer satisfaction, and the scalability of our logistics operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product, and Analytics, translating complex data into actionable insights and driving improvements across our delivery network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced statistical and forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, Prophet, Gradient Boosting) to predict delivery volumes, resource demand, and capacity needs.
- Propose and implement innovative methodologies such as hierarchical forecasting and causal inference to solve complex business challenges.
- Build experimentation frameworks and apply statistical methods to measure the impact of model changes and business interventions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across all relevant datasets, building standardized datamarts as needed.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with operations teams to identify drivers behind performance trends.
- Develop and automate interactive dashboards and reports to track key metrics and communicate insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasting insights with business strategy and operational planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Relevant experience in forecasting, data science, or business analytics, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
- Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, including classical time-series models and exogenous variable inclusion.
- Solid foundation in statistical analysis, experimentation design, and hypothesis testing (A/B testing, confidence intervals).
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
Why Join Us?
- Work at the forefront of optimizing a critical part of our logistics operations with tangible impact on costs and customer satisfaction.
- Apply cutting-edge data science techniques in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Join a collaborative team where innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth are encouraged.
