Our client is a global telecommunications service provider with a strong presence on the Bulgarian market. They are currently looking for an IT specialist to support their international testing & development operations by monitoring billing related processes. The person should be able to identify and analyse incidents, escalate them properly according to SLAs and prepare regular ad-hoc reports. The position doesn’t include any contact to customers/end-users. Essential for the role is the hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and SQL servers (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle). Fluency in English language is a must, and additional knowledge in German would be considered as a great advantage.
Technical Support Engineer – Level 2
Responsibilities:
• Investigate and resolve incidents related to billing processes and system automations.
• Monitor application and server workload, make adjustments if necessary.
• Work with SQL to extract and validate data.
• Perform root cause analysis using Linux and log investigation.
• Handle incoming requests via email and ticketing tools (Remedy, ServiceNow).
• Prepare and execute tasks related to billing/rating/batch processing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to restart failed processes and ensure data consistency.
Requirements:
• University degree in the field of IT/Telecommunication or any other relevant;
• Previous experience in application support, technical operations, or IT incident management;
• Experience with SQL – enough to extract data, perform checks, validate consistency;
• Hands-on Linux knowledge – ability to check processes, navigate logs, basic commands;
• Readiness to work on a rotating on-call schedule
• Analytical thinking, structured approach to troubleshooting and resolving incidents;
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail – billing accuracy is business-critical;
• Fluent in English;
