Compliance Officer
Our client is an international cryptocurrency trading platform. Their vision is to transform the way you manage your money with the latest technology in the blockchain industry, putting the best minds from around the globe, in order to change the cryptocurrency industry for the better.
Due to the expansion of their team, we are currently looking for Compliance Officer to join them in their office in Sofia.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee risk assessments transaction monitoring;
- Oversee and be responsible for customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence investigations;
- Ensure the company’s full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly related to AML/CFT and virtual assets;
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance procedures and internal controls;
- Liaise with Bulgarian regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting;
- Conduct risk assessments and monitor transactions for suspicious activity;
- Approve new business relationships in line with compliance standards;
- Perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence investigations;
- Train and support staff on compliance and regulatory requirements;
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and international compliance trends relevant to virtual currencies;
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role—preferably within the fintech, crypto or financial services sector;
- Strong knowledge of Bulgarian and EU regulations regarding AML/CFT and virtual assets;
- Fluency in Bulgarian and English;
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills;
- AML/CFT or compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is a strong advantage;
