WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL BE ABOUT:
As an IT Hardware Specialist, you will be responsible for the proper functioning of the IT equipment – computer hardware and peripheral devices, as well as the commonly used software and applications.
Your main tasks will include:
- Ensuring smooth operation of local IT systems, hardware, network devices, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements
- Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and peripherals (laptops, printers, scanners, mobile phones, etc.) Investigating and troubleshooting issues. Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures
- Maintaining operational, configuration, archival or other documentation and procedures
- Contributing to and maintaining IT equipment standards
- Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure and equipment
- Ensuring that IT infrastructure and equipment with related procedures adhere to organizational values
WHAT YOU MUST TO BRING:
- University degree (Computer Science or related) – considered as an advantage
- Experience in installing, supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
- Experience with MS Office Applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint – and Google Chrome
- Basic knowledge of common logistic IT equipment – e.g. barcode scanners, label printers, truck terminals PC
- Basic knowledge of IT networking (LAN, WLAN, WAN), networking devices (Routers, Switches, Access Points), telephony, CCTV, video projectors
- Basic knowledge of users management in Windows Active Directory Environment, backup and image management of operating system and VPN connections
- Eagerness to learn new technology and solutions
- Ability to manage multiple troubleshooting tasks simultaneously with high quality of results
- Ability to work efficiently with end-users remotely and without supervision
- Strong attention to details
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to train new employees of existing systems, current users of new systems/software applications
- Good command of English – both written and verbal
