About this role
As a Lead Marketing Manager for Customer Growth in the German Marketing Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement and retention across our owned channels (Email, Push, In-App), ensuring our strategy is locally relevant, insights-driven and business-focused.
We are looking for someone who brings fresh ideas and a test-and-learn mindset to challenge the status quo. Your mission is to unlock the full potential of our German customer base by combining strategic thinking with a strong focus on commercial performance. This is a great opportunity for a strategic generalist with a strong hands-on-mentality to apply their business acumen to one of our most critical markets. You will partner closely with German Commercial, CRM, Global Product, and Operations teams, acting as the strategic lead for our growth workstreams.
We are operating a hybrid working model: 3 days per week in office in Berlin, 2 days per week are home office.
These are some of the key components to the position:
Shape Growth Strategy: Develop and own the strategic customer growth roadmap for the German market, identifying the commercial levers required to maximize customer growth and lifetime value (focused on our owned-channels).
Commercial Project Ownership: Lead the planning of our owned-channel communication, and of high-impact strategic key occasions with strong mid- and lower-funnel impact (e.g. New Years, Easter, Super Bowl and Oktoberfest).
Business Case & Modeling: Create models to analyze growth opportunities and define the strategic deployment of our budget to ensure maximum ROI and incremental GMV.
Cross-Functional Steering: Collaborate closely with local teams, HQ functions, Creative Studio, and Digital teams to execute campaigns seamlessly and efficiently.
Performance Monitoring: Proactively review core KPIs to uncover anomalies and growth opportunities, translating data into clear recommendations for the Marketing Management team.
What will you bring to the team?
6-8 years of experience in Business Development, Marketing, Management Consulting, or a Strategic Growth role; experience is a fast-paced tech environment is a plus
Strong analytical mindset with a track record of leveraging performance data to optimise strategies and apply test-and-learn approaches.
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders based on mutual support.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously while remaining committed to achieving goals.
Comfortable working in dynamic environments, with strong prioritisation and organisational skills to manage high-volume campaigns efficiently.
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) is a must; strong knowledge of the German market is required.
Self-starter attitude, comfortable with change and thriving in fast-paced environments - build rapidly, test briefly and roll out successes quickly
Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic, celebrate team wins, own your results, be happy to give and receive feedback.
