Odoo Developer
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python 3, XML, and HTML based on customer-specific requirements.
- Integrate external systems through REST and XML-RPC APIs (e.g. CRM platforms, cloud services).
- Optimize existing functionalities and perform performance tuning for better efficiency.
- Design and implement unit tests and automated test scripts (e.g. using Odoo-TransactionCase).
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews and adherence to clean code principles.
- Analyze business processes with consultants, document technical specifications, and translate them into prioritized solutions.
- Support data and code migration to Odoo Enterprise/Community versions and assist with training and change management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing Odoo modules (backend, web, POS) and customizing workflows
- Proficient in Python 3 and the Odoo Framework, with strong knowledge of the Odoo API
- Hands-on experience with unit testing (e.g., unittest2) and integration testing
- Familiarity with REST and XML-RPC protocols for system integration
- Solid front-end skills: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for UI customization
- Good understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Ability to analyze and model business processes within Odoo (e.g., invoicing, inventory)
- Fluency in English (B2+) for technical communication
