Senior AI Python Engineer (GenAI)
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop production-ready AI applications and services based on Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Contribute to the further development of the existing BusinessGPT product using Python and modern GenAI technologies.
- Develop and enhance RAG-based solutions, including data ingestion, document processing, retrieval and semantic search.
- Work with PostgreSQL / PGVector and vector databases to support embeddings, retrieval and semantic search capabilities.
- Develop AI agents and agentic workflows using technologies such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Integrate LLM-based applications with OpenAI Responses API, Azure / Azure OpenAI and enterprise systems.
- Develop APIs and backend services supporting AI-powered applications and integrations.
- Containerize AI services using Docker and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to the deployment, operation and continuous improvement of AI applications in production environments.
- Collaborate closely with Platform / DevOps Engineers, Product / Delivery roles and Solution Architects.
- Contribute to both standard platform development and, where required, customer-specific Agent Delivery projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related technical field.
- 4-5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering or a similar role, including hands-on experience with GenAI / LLM-based applications.
- Previous experience developing LLM-based applications with Python.
- Experience with RAG architectures, data ingestion and semantic search.
- Experience with PostgreSQL / PGVector and vector databases.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI / multi-agent applications and workflows.
- Experience with LLM application and agent frameworks such as LangChain / LangGraph.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs and cloud-based AI services, preferably OpenAI / Azure OpenAI.
- Experience with API development, enterprise system integrations, containerization and CI/CD.
- Good understanding of LLM application architecture, RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector search.
- Good understanding of AI agents, agentic workflows and deploying AI applications into production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Curiosity and ability to experiment, evaluate and improve AI solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent English, German is an advantage.
