Our client ShortCircuit Science operates in the sports-betting analytics industry, specialising in data analysis and player-behaviour profiling. The company is currently expanding its operations in Bulgaria and is building a dedicated analytical team in Sofia.
Role Overview:
As a Trader, you will monitor real-time betting activity, analyse historical data and identify behavioural patterns or potential system abuse. You will be part of the Trading & Data Analysis team and will report to a department manager. The role is essential for supporting risk management and maintaining platform integrity as the company grows its presence in Bulgaria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor real-time betting activity using specialised monitoring software.
- Analyse historical betting data to identify patterns, behaviours and trends.
- Prepare structured analytical reports based on your findings.
- Identify and escalate cases where players may be exploiting the system.
- Collaborate with management and other internal teams on suspicious cases.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and follow internal quality standards.
- Contribute to improving analytical processes, tools and workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Statistics or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities; comfortable interpreting large data sets.
- Advanced / Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Experience in the sports-betting or gambling sector is an advantage.
- 3–5+ years of analytical experience preferred; candidates without betting-industry experience but with strong mathematical / financial background are also welcome.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong integrity and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and make data-driven decisions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Statistics or similar).

- Working Hours: 40 hours/week, rotating 24/7 shifts.
