To strengthen their Network Security team, they are currently looking for an experienced German-speaking Network Security Engineer who will play a key role in designing, implementing, and operating secure network infrastructures for enterprise-level customers in Germany.
This is a fully remote role in Bulgaria.
Network Security Engineer (with German)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requirements for LAN / WAN / VLAN / WLAN / VPN environments and translate them into secure technical solutions.
- Design and implement network and security infrastructures, including firewalls and access solutions.
- Operate and optimize existing network and security environments.
- Plan and execute changes in critical IT infrastructures.
- Troubleshoot incidents and resolve network security issues sustainably.
- Maintain and update network and security components to ensure stability and compliance.
- Monitor security threats and implement appropriate countermeasures.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field with a focus on network security.
- Relevant professional experience in network security and network infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on expertise with firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Proven engineering and troubleshooting experience with FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.
- Strong knowledge of LAN / WAN / VLAN / WLAN / VPN technologies.
- Practical exposure to vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, or comparable manufacturers.
- Proven ability to implement, administer, and optimize network and security infrastructures.
- Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to incident handling and problem resolution.
- High motivation to continuously learn and stay up to date in a rapidly evolving IT security landscape.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
